David Parr - Book and Lyrics

David Parr's first play Zack & Jill premiered as part of Bailiwick Theatre's 1994 Director's Festival in Chicago where it was chosen as Best of the Fest (dir. Rob Chambers). His short Where Were You? appeared in Live Bait Theatre's 1995 omnibus Dear Jackie: Queen of Camelot Remembered.

His comedy-drama Eleanor Rigby Is Waiting premiered at the 2004 New York International Fringe Festival (dir. Eric Amburg). He wrote the book and lyrics for the musical The Great White Way, with music by Rebecca Cordes, which workshopped at The 2007 New York International Dance Festival. In June 2008, his short play South Delancey was selected as part of The Metropolitan Playhouse's East Village Chronicles, directed by Melissa Maxwell. His most recent play, Mimi at The 44th Parallel, made its world premiere at Dallas's Out of the Loop Festival in March of 2010. The critically acclaimed summer 2010 production of his play Slap&Tickle, directed by Obie-winner David Drake, was produced at the legacy-rich Provincetown Theater in the town considered to be the birthplace of modern American theater.



Rebecca Cordes - Music

Rebecca Cordes is a classically trained pianist, jazz musician, composer, arranger, and teacher. Her compositional styles begin with classical and expand to pop, jazz and everything in between. In 2006, her compositions were featured on the CD On Our Way, a recording benefiting breast cancer charities. Her first musical, The Great White Way (book and lyrics by David Parr), was presented as part of the 2007 New York International Dance Festival and will be produced again at the Dallas Out-of-the-Loop Festival at WaterTower Theatre in March of 2011. You can catch Rebecca playing jazz in the Dallas area with her quartet, The Plus One Jazz Group, as well as The Frisco Jazz Society Combo. She lives in Carrollton, where she manages her teaching studio of over 40 private students.
